I have indeterminate colitis with a lot of bleeding. I started SCD 3 months ago, and in month 2, I had a pretty bad push, with several visits to the emergency room, and I just finished a Predinson rejuvenation. Unable and reluctant to take any other IBD medications (I had so much inflammation that I couldn`t pass through the stool), anyway, my first 2 months with SCD were great, I felt wonderful, and found changing my habits easier than expected. About before flaring (maybe even at first), I tried adding a legal probiotic for sickle cell disease. I ate one cup of yogurt a day, but I wanted to start with the probiotic. Since then, all hell has been unleashed! This also happened when the bleeding originally began.
