This registry is made available as a resource for finding linguistically competent court interpreters for languages for which government certification is not available. The term language proficiency represents the highest designation of state interpreter for languages for which there is currently no state-certified examination and is the preferred designation over non-designated interpreters for the selection, appointment, staffing or private recruitment of court interpreters in the competent person`s area of linguistic expertise.
